Industrial Technology 1
Industrial Technology 1 provides students with a very wide range of skills in many different career areas. The first quarter students learn to measure with different tools. They also learn advanced mechanical drafting skills such as 3-D drawings, scaling, and architectural mechanical drafting. Second quarter students learn basic woodworking skills and safety. They are required to make a wooden shelf. Third quarter students learn basic metal working skills. Students are required to make a small metal tool box, 4 welds using GMAW welding, and 4 welds using SMAW welding. Fourth quarter students learn small engine theory and rebuild a small engine.
